MD Nylon Wire Brush pigs MD-NW Series

These are designed for effective pipeline cleaning, featuring nylon wire brushes that enhance scrubbing action to remove debris such as dirt, wax, and light scale. Constructed from 5–7 lbs/ft³ density foam, these pigs are coated with polyurethane elastomer in a criss-cross pattern and equipped with nylon wire brush straps. These pigs balance flexibility and durability, allowing them to tackle moderate cleaning tasks while maintaining structural integrity over long distances and through bends in the pipeline.

Nylon wire brush pigs are particularly advantageous in applications requiring gentler cleaning compared to carbon steel or stainless-steel brushes. They are commonly used in:

Key Benefits:

• Internally Cladded Pipelines: They clean effectively without damaging protective cladding,
avoiding the abrasiveness of carbon or stainless-steel brushes that can lead to scratches.

• Food and Beverage Industry: Their non-reactive nature helps maintain hygiene and prevents
contamination without introducing metallic particles.

• Chemical Processing: Nylon brushes are less likely to react with corrosive substances, making
them suitable for cleaning sensitive pipelines.

• Water Treatment Facilities: They effectively remove organic matter and biofilms without
damaging pipeline surfaces, ensuring water quality.

• Pharmaceutical Industry: Nylon brushes provide gentle yet effective cleaning, adhering to
stringent hygiene standards.

• Oil and Gas Pipelines: They maintain the integrity of internal coatings while removing wax and
debris.

In summary, medium density nylon wire brush pigs offer a reliable cleaning solution across various
industries, particularly where maintaining pipeline integrity is crucial. Their gentler cleaning methods
effectively prevent damage or contamination, making them essential tools for pipeline maintenance.
