MD Stainless Steel Wire Brush MD-SW Series

These are specialized cleaning tools designed for efficient pipeline maintenance. Constructed from 5–7 lbs/ft³ density foam, these pigs feature polyurethane elastomer coating in a crisscross pattern, and embedded steel wire brush straps that deliver robust mechanical action, making them highly effective at removing debris such as rust, scale, and hard deposits. The medium-density foam strikes an ideal balance between flexibility and durability, allowing the pigs to maintain their structural integrity over long distances while easily navigating bends and variations in pipeline diameter. Medium density steel wire brush pigs are ideal for cleaning internally cladded pipelines due to their
gentler action, which provides several advantages over carbon steel wire brushes:

Key Benefits of Intermediate Density Foam Pigs Over Light Density:

Increased Durability : The firmer structure of intermediate density foam pigs ensures they last
longer and resist wear better, making them more suitable for multiple runs compared to light-
density pigs.

Better Cleaning Ability : With slightly firmer foam, intermediate density pigs handle light
cleaning tasks more effectively, offering better debris removal compared to the gentler, softer
light-density pigs.

Stronger Structural Integrity : These pigs are less likely to tear or deform, providing a more
robust solution for pipeline operations requiring repeated passes or more challenging conditions.

Improved Absorption for Drying : Intermediate density foam pigs absorb moisture effectively,
while their resilience makes them ideal for drying pipelines in more demanding or extended
operations.

Versatility with Coating : The option to coat one end with tough polyurethane elastomer
enhances durability and performance, making these pigs versatile for both cleaning and drying
tasks.

Better Navigation in Pipelines : Their firmer structure allows them to maintain shape and
function better when navigating bends, diameter changes, and other pipeline challenges where
light-density pigs may struggle.
