Low Density Foam Pigs

Low-density foam pigs, with a lightweight design of 1-2 lbs/ft³, are ideal for applications requiring flexibility and minimal abrasion within pipelines. Their primary uses include dewatering pipelines after hydrotesting or before product introduction, ensuring the pipeline is dry and ready for operation. They are also highly effective for light cleaning, removing dust, loose debris, and particles without damaging the interior surfaces, making them suitable for less demanding cleaning tasks.

In industries where multiple products are transported through the same pipeline, low-density foam pigs play a crucial role in product separation, preventing cross-contamination between batches. Additionally, they are used to remove light wax deposits, particularly in oil and gas pipelines, without causing wear to the pipeline walls. Often deployed during pipeline pre-commissioning, they help inspect and prepare pipelines for service, as well as efficiently dry any remaining moisture after cleaning or testing.
