HD Stainless Steel Wire Brush HD-SW Series

These are specialized cleaning tools designed for efficient pipeline maintenance. Constructed from 8–10 lbs/ft³ density foam, these pigs feature polyurethane elastomer coating in a crisscross pattern, and embedded steel wire brush straps that deliver robust mechanical action, making them highly effective at removing debris such as rust, scale, and hard deposits. The high-density foam strikes an ideal balance between flexibility and durability, allowing the pigs to maintain their structural integrity over long distances while easily navigating bends and variations in pipeline diameter.

High density steel wire brush pigs are ideal for cleaning internally cladded pipelines due to their gentler action, which provides several advantages over carbon steel wire brushes:

Key Benefits:

• Reduced Risk of Damage: High-density brushes are less abrasive, minimizing the risk of
damaging protective cladding such as stainless steel or epoxy, which can be compromised by the
harsher scrubbing of carbon steel brushes.

• Minimized Cladding Erosion: Their gentler approach prevents cladding erosion, helping
maintain the protective layer against corrosion and wear. In contrast, carbon steel brushes can
erode the cladding, exposing the underlying metal to damage.

• Compatibility with Softer Coatings: Many internally cladded pipelines have softer coatings
designed for corrosion resistance. High-density brushes are compatible with these coatings,
avoiding scratches or gouges that could compromise their protective function.

• Lower Contamination Risk: These brushes reduce the introduction of metal particles into the
pipeline, minimizing contamination risks and unwanted chemical reactions, which is crucial in
applications where purity is essential.

In summary, high density steel wire brush pigs offer an effective cleaning solution for various
industrial applications, especially for internally cladded pipelines. Their balanced design and gentler
cleaning action make them a reliable alternative to carbon steel wire brushes, ensuring the
maintenance of pipeline integrity and efficiency.
